WC B Log – anything is possible

Bouldering is a funny game where anything is possible but this time it didn’t work out for me.
I enjoyed the qualification round and I climbed pretty good but the result at the end was bad. I made some mistakes which cost me more tops and at the end bad 27th place and no semi-finals.

 Anyway, it was cool to compete and cheer for the rest of our team. In semi-finals 8 slovenians fought for the finals, where Katja and Natalija just got in. The atmosphere in the evening finals was superb, the climbers were trying their best in hard boulder problems. At the end Anna Stoehr and Guillaume Glairon Mondet took the first place. Katja also climbed really good and got 4th. She was pretty close to the podium. In the morning before the semi-finals I told her she could keep my car if she gets a medal that day. It was a joke but at the end it turned out it was pretty close and I could of start walking to my training gym :)

Vipava 2011

If you’re employed in the army as an athlete like me, your main task is to train and compete. But every year we have 3 days of real army training. This year was as fun as always. We learned how to shoot, the weather was beautiful and it was cool to meet all the athletes from different sports. I also needed a few rest days so everything came just right. And now I’m back to my real training for real battles, the climbing competitions.

Bouldering in Robanov kot

For a change, we went climbing outside with our team. Kruder took us to his local spot Robanov kot. It’s not like Font but I liked the problems we climbed and I even did one 7C with nice little crimps. Here are some pictures from our photographer Roman Krajnik. More in gallery.

Cool weekend with Swiss team

After Friday’s No numbers premiere we trained with Swiss team for three days. It was a good preparation for the World cup in Log on May 7th and 8th. The boulders that were set for us were really cool. Hard and all kinds of weird moves. We also had a competition simulation and we did some running and yoga. At the end we were all pretty tired and with no skin left.
