Briancon…last post…this writing thing is not going well for me lately. Just like my whole season. My goals and my hopes for this year were much higher, but somehow it didn’t work out as I expected. Now it’s over and I will try to forget it as soon as possible. Next year I have a chance for a fresh start and I can’t wait to start training, go rock climbing and then for competitions to begin. The next year’s competiton calendar looks pretty busy.
What was happening after Briancon? I even took two days off to go at sea side, but we (me and Anže) end up searching for one particular beach spot (a very cool one according to Tjaša). So at the end we had a few hours of swimming and sunbathing. The good thing about all this was that we taught Roxy how to swim:).

At the end of Aughust we had a short Asia tour. The first competition was in Xining where I didn’t get to the finals. I was pretty disapointed but I knew that I was in a good shape and that I could prove it a few days later in South Korea. I got to the finals but my performance there was poor.

Back home I was training for the European Championship and trying to keep positive thoughts in my head. Once again it didn’t work out, after the semi finals I was out of the game for the title. Just one week later we were on the way to Puurs. I really like this competition since I won two times, but this year it was just enough for the finals and nothing more.

Another trip to far east was next. The world cup competition for me ended in this year’s style and after that I stayed in China for the Masters which was super organized and I enjoyed it a lot!
When I look back now. I won’t remember this year’s competitions by the results but we really had a good time and some moments were those which stay in your head for a long time.
As usual the world cup got its conclusion in Kranj. I wasn’t looking forward to it, I didn’t have any expectations and in my head I was already somewhere else. So I took the whole thing easily, trying not to worry too much and after getting rid of all the pressure I even enjoyed it! I was relaxed and I climbed really good ’till I made a mistake in the finals choosing the wrong sequence of the moves. Far from the podium again but still…after a long time I enjoyed climbing competition’s routes again.

With this finals I ended my season. Instead of looking at the trophies I will remember it by the many places we travelled to, the stupid and funny things that happened on the way and even some cool parties we had after the serious part of a competition was over
