After chamonix, where I could see that I was in a good shape, I went to the season’s first world cup with a good feeling and I was optimistic about my performance in Briançon – one of my favourite venues. But nothing went like it should. From the first qualification route on, I made one mistake after another. It was all shocking to me, because I was ready to fight to the top of every route, but everytime a stupid mistake stopped me and I finished with my climbing way too soon. All I can say now is “next time” even though I hate that word. Time to move on!
